About the Role

Schoolhouse 226 is seeking a happy, organized, people-loving individual to be the first smiling face our sweet families see as they walk through our doors!

While traditional receptionist responsibilities are an important part of this position, we are looking for someone who understands that exceptional childcare goes beyond the classroom. We want someone who genuinely cares about our families and takes initiative to ensure they feel welcomed, valued, heard, and confident that their children are receiving the very best care possible.

The ideal candidate is warm, professional, detail-oriented, and proactive. They enjoy building relationships, anticipating needs, solving problems, and creating a positive experience for every family who walks through our doors. What You'll Do

Create a Welcoming First Impression

Greet children, parents, and visitors with a warm, positive, and professional attitude.

Manage incoming calls, emails, messages, and general front-office responsibilities.

Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional reception area.

Assist families and visitors with questions, requests, and day-to-day needs.

Champion the Family Experience

Build positive, trusting relationships with our families.

Proactively check in with parents to ensure they feel supported and satisfied with their experience.

Listen attentively to family questions and concerns, responding with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help.

Take ownership of family concerns by following up, communicating with the appropriate team members, and ensuring issues are addressed.

Recognize opportunities to make families feel special, appreciated, and connected to our school.

Help identify concerns before they become bigger problems and bring important issues to the director's attention.

Support School Operations

Assist with administrative tasks, recordkeeping, filing, and general office organization.

Help communicate important information to families and ensure messages reach the appropriate team members.

Support enrollment inquiries and provide prospective families with a positive first impression of Schoolhouse 226.

Work collaboratively with the director and teachers to support smooth daily operations and excellent family service.

Previous receptionist, customer service, hospitality, or childcare experience is preferred.
